Do I have to bleed fuel filter on 98E300 (606engine?)

Do I have to bleed fuel filter on 98E300 (606engine?) if I prefill it with diesel? I thought I read the later diesels are self-bleeding but am not sure. Does anyone know a source for 96-99 service manuals?

Thanks, Bob Skillman Ellicott City MD

All CDI-engines are self-bleeding. It will take approx 30 sec continous cranking to get fuel to the pump.

The 96-99 is not a CDI. Therefore it would not have a self bleeding for the fuel lines. Im sure that you have to manually bleed the lines. Im trying to fiind the process to do this also. Anyone have the information to do this

Thank You Thank You
