location of 00' clk crankshaft position censor...

Does anyone know where the crankshaft position sensor is on an 00' clk 320? can it be changed yourself?

It's located on the upper left side of the bell housing (reads off the flywheel/flex plate). It can be changed fairly easily, as long as the engine's cold. I wouldn't even bother if it's still hot. You'll just need to remove the engine cover, then do alot of reaching from the top. I think the nut on it is either an E8 or an E10 inverse torx.

do you mean upper left side of the belt housing or bell housing? Removing the engine cover...do you mean all the black plastic housing on top of the engine? I was told its between the back of the engine and the firewall or are you saying it's in the front? Also not to familiar with flywheel/flexplate... please advise, thanks 8)

You were told correctly. It's on the back of the engine between the engine and firewall.
