420SEL Crankshaft Position Sensor

Hey guys, I've been on this forum previously finding answers related to my 300SD and 300D. Recently I purchased a 420SEL with a bad CPS. I found one in good shape at a junkyard I'm just not sure how to disconnect it from the engine block as it seems the wore goes down pretty far. I already have it loose I just don't know how to get the second connection point out from underneath the car/ what the best method is.

Usually the CPS just pulls out once the retaining bolt is removed.

You do not have the model and year in your user profile, this would help a lot to know if it is a W116 or W126 ?

that's different than the one that's in my car. The one I removed has some sort of bracket that mounts it to the engine block-- the end that connects to the engine isn't 3 pronged. Thank you though.

Is there a part number on the CPS? If yes, google the part number and it should come up with outlets where to buy and prices.
