280SE seats

Does anyone know the procedure to separate the hinge pivot from these seats? I’d like to refurbish them but I don’t want to destroy them in the process. I’m assuming the pivot is pressed in but from which side? Or are they assembled in a different fashion?
Thanks

The nes from the 70s and 80s were pressed.

Good question. Well the car is 71 and had no interior. I bought these from a seller who was uncertain about their origin. They look more like a late 50’s 220 model. Yes they most certainly are pressed in. There are no visible fasteners around the pivot point.
