Clunk when turning the steering wheel

Knock in the steering wheel when turning wheel at stand still. 2008 Mercedes e350 80k miles.

It could be the tie rod ends more than likely the outer ones.

How miles on the car? Also is it a 4matic or RWD car?

It’s a 2008 Mercedes e350 rwd with 81k miles

The RWD front suspension is much easier to work on, diagnose and get parts for.

I check of the tied rod ends, ball joints, sway bar links, control arm bushings, and control arms is in order.

That is around the same mileage I had on my W211 E500 when I started to hunt down front end noises.

I took it to my mechanic hopefully they can find something. When the receptionist called they couldn’t find any smoking gun. I told her to just turn the wheel from left to right. I can noticed it while sitting in the driveway with the car running.
