Well I have the MD805 MAxiDiag, unfortunately I got the same results as I did with the 319...Link error, failed to connect...tried 3 times with same results. I tried to run the scan mode a couple of times and got the following message, "no system diagnosis". Any chance the issue is with the CAN?

Not entirely sure.

To play it safe return the one from Amazon (you can always bu it again).
I need to look at some wiring diagrams in a couple of days when I am back at the shop.

Thanks, for the update. I am sorry you had to drop that much $$$.

At least our hunch was right.

I had 3 people take vacations and have been putting in 60-70 hour weeks and never got to the shop to download the diagrams.

Again thx...someone suggested removing the box and cleaning the connectors where possible...after I had completed the repair at the dealership...so hopefully anyone else with this issue will try that before towing in for repair.
