What's suppose to happen when I hit the Panic button on the remote? I was testing things out before I take it in for a few repairs, and I hit the button, but nothing happened. Remote works fine to lock/unlock, but I don't see any visable indication that the panic button works.

I'm assuming horn/lights/navy seals/death ray type of thing.

Also, on a seperate topic, I read [in here I think] about an ML that had the gas pedal sticking and they needed to replace his throttle cable linkage. I've noticed that mine feels similar to what this guy described. Is there a TSB or anything on this?

Thanks,
-Buzz

In order to activate the panic function, you need to hold the button down for a second or two. Then the death rays begin.

As for the throttle linkage, there isn't a TSB persay, but inspecting and lubricating the linkage is part of every A and B service on your vehicle. I'd bring up the next time you're in for service and see if the shop foreman would take a quick road test with you. They would be able to verify if your vehicle is exhibiting normal behavior or if there is something amiss.

So I called and got an appt to take the ML350 into the Dealership and have a few things fixed. (One rear seat doesn't fold down and the rear seat vent directional flow control slider "thingy" is broken.)

While I have it in there, is there anything else they can/should do? I'm going to mention the throttle friction i'm feeling and see what they say about that. But should I have them give it an overall look and see if they see anything? Can they even do that? Is there something better I should ask them to do?

It's still under warrenty, so hopefully everything will be covered.

Again, sorry for the list of confusion, I'm still new at this.

Thanks again,
-Buzz

Mercedes has one of the best warranties in the business. They will take excellent care of any concerns you have (by and large). If there's nothing troubling you, I wouldn't worry too much about anything else. They finally got that truck right in '03, so you should not have any imminent concerns. When they do your scheduled service they'll give it a good once over. Maybe tell them that you're going on a long trip and you would appreciate if they could check all the fluids, tires, etc. Not something I charge my clients for, I can't imagine they would do that either.
