Considering a 99 C280

I am new to this forum so HI to all.

Anyway, the car is has about 90K miles on it and looks to be a 2 owner car. There are no problems that I could find and it drives great. Price is $6800.

What I really want in this car is the Japanese car like reliability where you just gas and oil up the car bewteen major services. I know you have to spend a few grand ever 30K and 60K miles to do maintenance on any car.

Do you think this is a good deal?

Also, what are known problem areas with the 280?

Can I exepect to make 200K miles without major oil burning through wear of valve stem seals or piston rings?

Does this motor use a timing belt or a metal chain? Is 90K the time for this to be replaced?
