seat

The seat on my 300E is broken. It will go forward and backwards but the tilt won't go anywhere. I was driving a friend and he started to mess with it. the he couldn't move it back. Would it be the motor or the switch the it mess up.

Can you hear the motor trying to run when you try to tilt? Can possibly be the cable or gear too. If you figure out what the problem is, let us know the part we may be able to get you a good deal. We also have a certified tech on call duty if you want any help pinpointing the problem. Best of luck!

No the motor is not trying to run. I tried to jump the switch but it didn't work also.

seat switch

If you don't hear the motor then it is probably the switch. Try spraying some WD40 into the switch. Next try pulling the switch levers straight off to expose the plastic pins to move them. Last resort is to remove the plastic c clip around the center piviot, pop the face plate off from the top, and unscrew the switch and disassemble it to check and clean the contacts (10 little springs and 20 ball bearings). I did this to mine last week. Last resort is to replace the switch.

the seat might be out of sync. you have to move the seat all the way foward and hold it there for a few seconds and then move it all the way back. if seat doesnt move at all i would try getting a hammer with a screwdriver or something so you can hit the seat motor a few times to see if the motor is hanging up
