Parade of Mercedes Event! October 4th, 2003

Mercedes-Benz “Poker Run” Event in South Florida!

Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) - General Attendance – Membership in the club NOT required. Great opportunity to showcase south Florida Mercedes-Benz cars and owners and meet fellow enthusiasts. The event is titled a “poker run,” but need not require everyone to actually play poker. The event is provided to gather the local MB enthusiast community together for a parade of fine Mercedes-Benz machines in a 5-stop, prize-filled, aficionado-based rally/run throughout the south Florida landscaping.

Participation cost is $15 per car (passengers unlimited); each additional hand is $10. Maximum hands per player are 3. Prizes awarded for the highest and lowest hands. 10% of the total funds collected will go to the Mercedes-Benz Club to cover expenses incurred, while 45% is to be awarded to the highest hand, and 45% to the lowest hand.

Registration for the event happens October 4th, at 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Please arrive early to avoid delays.
5 Stops starting in Dania Beach (Outdoor World), MB of Ft. Lauderdale, The Auto Toy Store (Exotic Cars), Auto Critic (1st 5 cars get free Simoniz car wash), and ending up at the Sea Watch Restaurant and Lounge (Ocean Blvd) in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida.

Poker hands are then opened, winners selected and pot is distributed. Lunch is on your own in the restaurant upon your own leisure.

The event purpose is to draw attention to the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) upon the local scene which has many nice benefits and perks and whose membership fees ($45) are easily offset by the 10% discount given to members on MB dealership vehicle service, store accessories, etc. We even have driving school events where people can get tips from pros upon the strengths and weaknesses of their cars and its owner! The club also raffles off new E-Class and SL’s!

We welcome all MB owners in South Florida to participate. Of course, membership on a national basis is encouraged.
