I will be driving off with my new 2003 Black C230 Kompressor this Friday!!
Here in Montreal Canada, the MSRP for this car has increased from $33,950 (2002 model) to $34,450 (Canadian dollars).
Also, the engine on the 2003 is completely redesigned... instead of the 2.3L (a presumably noisy engine on the 2002), I have the new 1.8L engine. It pumps out 188 hp (192 lb-ft torque). A wee bit less than the 2002 engine, but presumably less noisy and smoother. It is also (according to the litterature) 10% more fuel efficient.
I'm surprised nobody mentionned the new engine for the 2003's...

I live in Minnesota, is it feasible to buy one in Canada and drive it back down to the US? Canadian and US cars are the same aren't they? Do you have to pay tax twice?

Canadian cars are right handed Meaning that the steering wheel is on the right!

You'd have to verify the feasability of importing the car from Canada (probably you'd have to pay duty which will bring the car price back up to the price you'd pay in the US in US dollars! Just guessing here...)
In any case, the steering wheel IS on the left side!
(for the gringos down south who didn't know...)

We pay 7% in federal sales tax and 8% in Ontario provincial sales tax on the purchase price of the car. Car registration (ie. license plates) cost an extra $60 odd dollars a year. Plus insurance of course...
How much sales tax do you guys pay in MN??

We pay 6.5%, and all other benz would have the over 30k luxury car tax, which I can't currently remember what it is.
