Hello Forum Members:

I have a 2010 C300 in immaculate condition...only 52,000 miles and well-kept. Here in S. California recently, we had temperatures of 100 - 110 degrees F. If the car is in cooler weather or in the garage, the A/C blasts really cold. When it was so hot and I had the car outside (with a reflective sun shade), the car and interior must have been way over 100 degrees. I got no A/C at all...blasts like Death Valley. I had the A/C checked for leaks and recharged, thinking it was low on refrigerant. Same thing happened a week or two later...but only happens when the car is outside and extremely hot. I'm thinking a sensor may be overwhelmed with the extreme heat. Any ideas? Otherwise, it's working great in cooler weather. It's happened about 3 times, but only when sitting outside and 100 degrees plus.

Thanks. Steve

I would guess the inside ambient air temp sensor may need to be replaced.
