Hello,
I am going to change my ML270 W163, Tronic gearbox filter and oil, and was trying to obtain some advice as to the AFT Oil I can use, there was two types that was recommended, 1/ Dextron AFT 11 Automatic.
And the 2/ was Viskoil AFT 11 Automatic.
Has anyone had any problems using either of these oils.??

MB publishes a list of approved lubricants, ATF fluids, etc. Follow owners' manual. Different brands possess different 'FRICTION' characteristics that are manifested (show up) in shift patterns. Personally, I do not out-guess the manufacturer.
