Has anyone had success / difficulty adding an alarm system to a new Mercedes?

We are considering layering a Clifford or other DEI alarm atop the factory system. This will add an additional immobilizer and a shock sensor.

Just curious about the complexities an installer might face with the MB (2003 C320 4Matic). They had some trouble doing this with my BMW. Some features had to be disabled on the alarm. On my Nissan, there were no issues.

YOUR BENZ ALREAGY SHOULD HAVE A REALLY GOOD ALARM WITH MORE ALMOST EVERY FEATURE YOU COULD POSSIBLY ASK FOR EXCEPT A SHOCK SENSOR, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE AN INCREDIBLY HARD TIME DOING ALL THIS. IF YOU MUST GO AHEAD AND DO IT ADD ONE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO USE YOUR FACTORY KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE--DEI HAS ONE.
