Need help with alternator. After an hour or so drive the voltage drops and I can’t start, next day like never happened. Good voltage, and the same thing after driving for an hour. Where should I look ?
You should completely fill out your profile, and re-post your problem in the forum for you MB model type. It will make replies more meaningful if people reading your post know exactly what model/engine etc. you have.
In general for all cars, the voltage regulator, and for many MBs, the OVP, (Over Voltage Protection), relay would be suspects, .
Post in the forum of the model type you have, and your much more likely to get a better answer. Rather than having everyone guessing, or making them ask you what kind of Mercedes you have, just tell everyone up front.
PS: I just went to this forum front page, (Mercedes-Benz Classic Cars), and the most recent updates were 4 months ago. But if you have a W126, the most current updates on the W126 forum are daily... just a thought.. good luck
