Yes, if you don't know already, the only major difference is the engine, the 2002 had a 2.3 liter while the 03 has a 1.8 liter. Otherwise there are more option (wood trim, ect.) for available the 03 and the CD changer is half the price of the 02. A new color Pewter, I like it.

Oh Yeah, It's a year newer too.

The engine is different. Bi-xenon headlights are an option now. Auto-dimming mirrors are no longer standard. There are little arms to hold the seat belts so they're easier to reach. A little rubber thingie is attatched to the panorama roof wind deflector to reduce the booming effect in the car at 40 mph. Tunnel mode now closes the roof. Some cars now have a 1.8 badge on the front fenders.

sorry to be a pain but in your opinion is it better to own a 2002 model over a 2003 model? especially if i can save about $6500.00 CDN. There seems to be about 8 models to choose from used or dealer demo under 15,000k This is what I gathered from your prevous posts...

xenon lights are standard
tilt mirror are standard
the engine is bigger in '02, in your opinion is it better?

Anything else I may want top know in my final decision?

Xenon lights are not standard on either year. Bi-xenons are optional on 2003's. If by tilt mirror, you mean the passenger side mirror tilts down when the car is in reverse, that is part of the C1 package. It is not standard, or available independently. If your are going to modify the car, it is currently easier to mod the 2002. Otherwise, I don't see any reason the prefer one year over the other except for the impact on your finances.

Just a side note... here in Canada... even though MB Canada lists Bi-Xenon as an option, my dealer tells me that it is as yet unavailable... don't ask me why. The 1.8l engine is quieter than my 2.3 and it far more fuel efficient.

Good Luck with your purchase. :D
