I bought my C-coupe because I wanted a small car that was comfortable. These seats seem anything but comfortable. Has anyone else found this to be the case? What (if anything) have you done to deal with it?

I screwed around with my seats for at least a week. But now I found the position I think feels great. There is som many ways to set the seat position. Keep playing around with it, trust me I was so angry at one point but now I'm very pleased. :p

I've had mine for three months. I think I've tried every position. I'm at the point of trying to go to a trim shop (which I really think should be unnecessary) or selling the car.

We usually use SUV's at work, but often rent Taurus sized cars. I also have experience driving long distances in Lincolns and Caddy's. Those soft seats are a literal pain in the ass. After two hours in the typical American POS soft seats, it feels like my bones are being supported by the muscles and skin of my butt instead of the seat. Ford makes the worst truck/SUV seats and GM makes the worst car seats.

Lynn, Maybe you can help me figure out what's wrong. Your description of your bones and muscles supporting you is just the description I'd pick to describe my experience. I feel like my whole body is resting on the left. At times this feels like it's because the footrest on the left side is farther forward than the right side (gas pedal). Often it feels like the seat tilts to the left. Is is possible something is wrong with the seat? (seems unlikely) Do you know if the seats changed from 2002-2003? My seats are obviously new, will they become for comfortable in time? I love the car, but as it stands I don't drive it because I'm too sore by the time I get to work.

Quickstep192, I seriously doubt that the seat will get more comfortable with time. As a matter of fact, I think you will experience more discomfort as time goes by.

You might want to have the dealer check the seat to see if it is broken or improperly installed. The seats in 02's and 03's are the same.

Some people at csportcoupe.com have talked about getting aftermarket seats such as Recaro or Sparco.

Seats are very subjective. I hate the seats in the Jag X-type I drove. I have a long body and the bolster across the top of the seat caused me to hunch forward. That was very painful. I have read reviews saying the seats were very good. The reviewers were obviously shorter than I.
