I am considering buying a C230 Coupe and would like to hear from fellow short (5'4") drivers. In my test drives I've had to place the drivers seat low and forward, positioning my knees within an inch of the dash and making the seatbelt a long reach behind me. Can anyone of similar height comment on your long-term comfort with the car? Thanks!

WEll, rob, I am about 5'2 and when i test drove the C230 2003 in december i was like "woah! i can't see and the seat belt feels like it is like slipping off my left shoulder" (even with the adjustments i've made)...then i realize that becuase i was short, visibility was like non - existent when looking over my left shoulder becuase all i saw was either the shoulder of the seat or the thick side paneling of the car. I got the car anyways. But i realize that i had to get used to the car and i adjusted enough to get comfortable with it. I had to put the seat more forward and raised it higher so i could see, then i reclined the seat enough to be comfortable and be able to see through the window and not the panel over my left shoulder. I totally got used to the way the car was adjusted and just became more comfortalbe with it and i haven't regretted my decision. I'm sure if you get the car, that you will find that it is a great choice.
