Even if you are able to sort through the installation by yourself, you will still have to pay the dealer to configure your D2B (fiber optic) ring to accept the kit. They will most likely hit you pretty hard for that given they did not do the work. It is also unlikely that you'll get the optics hooked up correctly as you need to actually open at least one of the connectors and re-route everything (all the components need to make a "circle"). If you're not familiar with these systems you can mess stuff up pretty bad and diagnosis of D2B related problems can become costly (obviously not a warranty issue as there was no failure, just mixed up wires from a botched project). On top of that, you'll drop a pretty fair sum of money on a piece of technology that is known to have service issues and not have any warranty coverage as the work was not done by a certified service center. For the maybe $400.00 (at most after you pay for them to program the ring) you'll save you are asking for a bunch of headaches. I'd recommend either sucking it up and paying the experts to do it or letting the phone be.
