I have a Stock C230K Sport Sedan with C2 Package. So I have just the stock speakers. I noticed that on the dashboard there is a mesh that looks like it would hold a center speaker. So my question is Can a center speaker be installed there? How would one install a center speaker and are there already connections there for a center speaker?

The location you speak of is for the air flow in the cabin, I do not believe there would be any connections already there.

that's reserved for the bose package.. although Im not sure if it's still an option on C230s...

That large triangular/teardrop shaped mesh area is part of the vehicle's climate control system. Put your hand over it sometime when the climate control system is running - you'll feel air coming out. Not a good place for a speaker. :wink:

Bose is an option on the 230's.

I think when you don't get the Bose option, it's just an empty hole where you can install your own speaker. An aftermarket speaker should be fine there.[/b]
