Hi all! I am looking for the most appropriate MB car to convert to vegetable oil, using an ELSBETT system. Well, i am a little bit new with MB cars, so I am wondering if someone knows if E300D and E300TD are appropriate engines to do so. I have heard that engines with a direct injection are more complicated to convert. Do these two engines have direct or indirect injection? and what are the differences between them? As far as I heard 5-cylinder diesel (I think it has 93 HP) is quite "bulletproof" and it does not have problems using vegetable oil. Are 300 d and td much different from 5-cylinder one? Thanks.

EDIT: I mean engines from e300d and td, year 1997. But as far as I know, 300D is also in E-class, year 1993
