I ordered my C230 Oct 21/02 from Toronto (silver, sunroof, 6 spd leather, CD), production date was Nov 7/02, any one have experience as to how long before it arrives at dealer?

I ordered mine mid November 2001, delivery was on February 2, 2002. MB closes the week of Christmas and then it took 2 weeks from port (NJ) to dealer (MO).

Toronto Order
Ordered mine from the Dundas store in mid September. At the time they said late October manufacture, late November delivery.
Considering the number of times other benz drivers asked me "have they delayed you out yet?" I was figuring maybe I'd see it before Christmas.
Then, Monday of the week of Haloween, my rep called me to tell me my car was "on a rail" in from Halifax. I picked it up that Wednesday.
So, don't believe everything you hear. The fact is that even if you're waiting into February... it's more than worth it. You'll love that car man!

I ordered my car in December 2001 and took delivery mid-April 2002.
It was SO worth the wait!
My dealer let me have one for a full day (overnight) during a heat wave in February (called a Chinook up here) because of the long production/delivery timeline.

Heard from dealer (Mississauga, Ontario) ship docks in Halifax on November 24/02, pretty good turnaround for a November 7/02 assembly date. Photos to come on the big day.
(PS, I turn 50 on Dec 13/02, most daring hatchback before was the made in Germany Capri II in 1976. While car shopping back in October the Missus suggested that I look at Benz after we left the Acura dealer, the sunroof RSX type S had insufficient headroom).

you made a great choice -- hopefully the weather will be nice in TO this winter so you can get lots of driving in and enjoy that sunroof!

If anyone is curious, got a call from the dealer on Nov 25/02 that the coupe is on a truck from Halifax to Toronto, likely ready for pick up on Dec 02/02

Dealer called to apologize on Friday Nov 29/02, car wasnt on truck, now on rail, hopefully at dealer by Dec 9/02
