Hi.
Does any one notice about your oil level? I have 10800 miles on my car and I just got my service A done on 10000. I check my oil level electronically 45 minutes after I drive the car; it said that I need to add 1 qrt of oil. I'm not sure if all the kompressor engines consume more oil than any other car. Any one has the same problem?

You should check the oil level five minutes after shutting off a fully warmed engine.

MB considers one quart per 1000 miles to be normal consumption. I would have the dealer check the car for excess oil consumption. But, I think they may have not put enough in when they serviced the car.

They said the sensor was bad, so they will replace it with a new one. And they also said they put the oil 3/4 full on purpose.
Thanks anyway

C230 Checking oil level

How do you check the oil in your 02? Do you have a dipstick. There isnt one in the 2003 model. I raised this elsewhere in this forum.

Yes I have a dipstick on my 2002 C230. You must have it somewhere near the engine. I'm not sure for 2003 car. Well you can check electronically from your speedometer display i believe.
Are you sure you do not have a dipstick on your car?

The M111 2.3 liter engine has a dipstick. The M271 1.8 liter engine does not have a dip stick. Oil level in this engine is measured electronically, and shown on the multi-function display. Please read the operator's manual for instructions on how to do this.

no dip stick

Personally I LOVE the fact that I never have to open the hood with the 2003. I always hated having to pretend I knew what the heck I was doing checking things. I guess I was marked as a teenager when my first car overheated and the radiator blew up upon opening the hood. Ack. (Is it possible to have an engine phobia?)
