Is it recommended to change the oil after the first few thousand miles? 1000? 2000?
I know other car makes recommend a first oil change sooner than the regular interval. After looking in the manual, I got the impression that the first oil change was suppose to happen at 10,000 miles. Isn't that sort of high? Thanks for any help you can offer!

They use Mobil 1... same applies for BMW. Your service "A" is at 10.000, they change oil and check stuff... second service, called "B", is at 20.000...
