:twisted: Hi...Please Email Me ASAP if you have or had trouble with your new c230k..... 1st day i got my car it stopped on me...then i had problems thru out the whole time i had it with the SUNROOF....CUPHOLDER.....BAS...ESP...you name it..it happen!
I also had a wreck in the car also to have some of the airbags not come out!! i am now unable to walk! so please help me out and email me if you have or had the same problems....

Welcome to the Forum. But how can we help??

Some people have had similar problems... for example when their car "stopped" they took it to a dealer and by replacing a fuel pump it never happend again.

Check lemon law in your state and if you have a lemon just call a lawyer!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
The airbags only go off if they sense the intrusion coming from a specific direction ie side impacts = side curtains. They also sense force of impact so that they deploy more slowly at low speeds.

Just Looking For Others With Same Problem

I had lots of trouble with the car while i had it..it was in the shop more then i had it....they wouldnt work with me to fix these problems...the dealer or the company..they put me thru so much.. i wish i never had the car....i was in a car wreck..and about died....this is very serious i am looking for people out there who are having problems or are having the same problems i did...this car wreck has left me in a wheelchair and i am unable to walk...so please help me out and email me if your having these same problems....in the wreck only the airbag in the steering wheel, passenger side window came out and the back passenger side tried to come out....nothing came out on my window or around the sunroof.. my car hit something head on...the window was also pushed out from where my head went thru it..I'm very lucky to even still be here and i feel that Mercedes should have fixed these problems b4 it went this far...my legs are very messed up and this car isn't as safe as everyone believes it is...

I'm very sorry to hear all that... I was wondering if your seat belt was on? I think that the best way would be to contact a lawyer... that's what I would do.

Again, so sorry to hear about your misfortune, but airbags are not designed to minimize damage to your legs. Some accidents can not be walked away from no matter how well engineered the vehicle may be. This sound like a very serious accident and you have given us no details as to how it occurred. Everything on this BB will be speculation, so you are not going to find any insight here. Contacting a lawyer may be your best bet. A family friend was killed in the late 80's while driving his 380SC at a high rate of speed on the autobahn. He drove off the road and the air bags deployed yet he was killed. Completely his fault.
As for the mechanical glitches prior to your accident, these are things that other 230SC owners can help educate you on.

my problems are like yours

benzgirl. i had the bas and esp problems. they were just sensors; they didn't affect the cars performance. my cupholder broke. my driver's side vanity mirror just cracked when i flipped the visor up one day. a tape got stuck and the tape door wouldn't even open. my oil light comes on all the time. my sunroof makes a TON of noise. all of these problems annoyed me, but never affected the way the car drove. i took the car to mercedes, they fixed the bas and esp, they replaced the cupholder and entire head unit (said that mercedes would mail the tape! even tho i don't care) ordered me a vanity mirror (to be installed) and fixed everything else. FOR FREE!!! no questions asked. sorry about what happened, but you should probably have taken it to mercedes direct.

Sunroof noise

I experienced noise from the sunroof, which I thought was coming from the driver side door. I took it to the dealership, and they cleaned and lubricated it. No problem for 500 miles, then it came back. Went back to the dealership and they replaced the deflector. So far so good, knock on wood.

I had the same problem with my sunroof, after the service "B" today, they lubricated it and the noise stopped

I also had some problems with the BAS ESP going off, so i took it to the dealer, and they fix it. I also have some annoying sound coming from the sunroof, hopefully its only that it needs lubrication. Sorry to hear what happened to you, i will just recommend a good lawyer..

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Lawyer is a must in your case. I love lawyers cuz ive been their #1 customer. Thats why im broke lol...Ive had my bas/esp come on twice but they fixed it. My gas pedal went dead one day, it just stopped working. My engine makes a noise and when i brought it to them to fix they fixed it but it came back 2 weeks later and now it makes a knocking noise like marbles in my motor at the beginning of acceleration and deceleration. They said they cant fix that noise cuz the car suppose to sound like that...(whatever) And my tint is soo scratched up cuz of the door trim panel thing. .....My sway bar bushing squeeks and MB said they wont replace it cuz when i bring it in they cant duplicate it.....I think they just hate me lol. What bothers me the most is, what will happen when my vehicles warranty is up.....Obviously imma be broke cuz then i have to pay outta pocket..I just hit a little over 12000 miles and im going to go trade it in for something else other than mercedes. Im sorry I love this car but i dont it doesnt like me....so im thinkin bout the new Infiniti G35 coupe...
