I have the star ornament hood emblem. I want to change it but I am not sure how to take off the star emblem. One person told me just to yank it off but I really don't think I want to do that. If there is an easier way to do please tell me.

Which model do you have?
I'm assuming it's not the coupe.
Regardless, don't "yank it off", consult the owners manual, MD dealer, or posts form here. Also, are you going to leave a big hole on the hood?
And finally....... if it is the coupe...what are you thinking?

It is not the coupe. I have a replacement emblem thats fits flat on the hood.

If it's like the flat replacement that I have, it is held in by 2 screws accessible from the inside.

I want to change it to the flat one. The one I need help on is the star emblem. I don't know how to take that one off.

Are you talking about a swivel emblem?
Start by looking under the hood, odds are there a couple of screws that hold the base down.
Does this solve the problem?
