Hello everyone,

I'm looking for advice on whether I should purchase a used car. The car is a 2016 Mercedes Benz E350 with a V6 3.5L engine, and it has a salvage title. The asking price is $16,900.

I've done some research on the car and it seems like it's a good deal, but I'm not sure. I know that salvage title cars can be tricky and can be a gamble. I would love to get some input from people who know more about cars than I do.

What do you think? Is the car a good deal? Are there any potential issues I should be aware of? Are there any red flags I should be aware of?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

HERE IS MY UPDATE ON THIS:

Thanks for the advice @BoatWaco, the Vehicle History Report I got has strengthened my resolve to buy the vehicle, I got a Carfax report, but was unable to see the previous images while doing a google search I found this Detailed Vehicle History guys, their report being $15 as against Carfax $40, and surprisingly I found their report having more information including the auction photos.

The vehicle in question had 3 owners, it had an accident, which is why it was given the salvage title, but the airbag was not blown during this event, the car suits my budget and it seems I may buy it.

This is the link to the report i got:Vehicle History Report for VIN: WDDHF5KB8GB192561

and here are some Auction images photos

Find out why it has a salvage title - use that as a focus for much more detailed inspections. And get a third party mechanical inspection done. If seller balks at this, run away.
Also get a CARFAX report and ask the seller to get a full service history report from their MB dealership.
