Just 3 weeks ago became the new owner of a C230K from 1999 with 57k miles on it and looking very sharp for it's age. Had it checked by a local independent MB shop, who gave it a clean bill of health with some things that should be done. Nothing real urgent.
It was owned by someone who passed on....
The oil had just been changed with synthetic and I replaced the rear tires and had all 4 of them (re)balanced...
Took the car for a 1400 (fourteenhundred) mile spin and it performs flawlessly. Everything works as it should and I have only one little rattle or resonance...
On a 230 mile stretch at a steady 80 mph i got 30.7 mpg, ran it up once or twice into the 3 digits. It shows that the B service should have been performed 1800 miles* ago. Since the oil and tires were done I was thinking of having it, the B service, done at around 5000 miles 'overdue"

Any thoughts here on the forum about that
happy new owner
*I know how to reset it but see no real use doing this before the service...
