I plan on purchasing a coupe within the nest 6-10 months, with the c2 and c7 option packages. The other options I can live without....however...
What option/s package/s can I add at a later time if I so choose?

I really like the illuminated door sills, the all season weather mats, cargo net, sunroof visor. I just can't justify paying for them monthy.

Would it be wiser to add these later? And any others, which can I add later versus at the time of purchase?

thanks.

Better be sure that you get factory installed options like Bose & heated seats before you make your purchase (If you are looking for those options). I purchased a bose system from someone who decided to go aftermarket subsequent to his purchase. I still don't have it installed and will have to buy the entire Bose Wiring harness to install the system (I'm still not certain that it will work). I wanted to keep my car as MB stock as possible, so I elected against an aftermarket stereo installation (My C was 5000km old when I got it). Things like leather can be added after, but with the Panorama roof/Leather combo priced as it is, it's worth it to blow the dough. Rainsensor is great and inexpensive (unless you live in Phoenix or LA... read DRY) and stuff like headlight washers are really nice and MUST be factory installed. Your MB Guy should be able to help you make a wise choice... and keep checking here! :D

Good Luck

Buy as much as you can afford at the time of purchase. Options and other goodies bought up front are usually covered by the 4 year warranty. Anything bought down the road is normally covered for only one year.

Plus, things such as door sills will be much more expensive installed aftermarket. Items such as cargo nets, sunshades, etc. can wait if you want to save a few buck.

Unless you want a project when it comes to the sound system, go with the BOSE upgrade. I have found that trying to meddle with the stereo system, can be a very expensive and frustrating endevour.

I agree with the "get what you can afford up front" advice. I took mine from year-end stock because it was such a great deal. But the next one will be just what I want all the way. I am having the V60 phone system installed by the dealer. It's more expensive because of the labor, and a small markup on hardware. That will be true of all installed options.
You might want to do the math - financing the option at say 7% over the life of your loan is probably much cheaper than the hundreds you'll pay the dealer to do installations.

I got the illuminated door sills and they're amazing. The dealer threw in the mats (without me asking) so you might be able to see if they'll give them to you too. The cargo nets are really cheap. You can get those anytime. I see that you want a "sunroof visor". If you're referring to the wind deflector, the coupe has one already built in. I'm not sure why their website has it as an accessory for the coupe. Anyway, it'll only cost you a couple of bucks monthly to have these added on when you get the car. I say just go for it.
