Anyone ever had a problem with their panoramic roof? :( Mine just stopped working - roller blinds work but roof won't open or even tilt. Checked fuse #9 in the back, no problem. Rocker switch maybe?

Another clue: even though the fabric blind works, the 'one-touch' feature now does not...

I'm hoping it's something easy for the dealer to fix - love this car! :)

Well, mine has been working but...

I went thru a car wash. It was 36 degrees. Did you know the front part of the roof is glass too? The part of the sun roof that tips up to act as a deflector of the air to reduce airflow into the car... it's painted black but it's glass. Anyway, as I went thru the car wash the blowers at the end of the wash (which NEVER touched the car) apparently was blowing warm air. Poof! The entire front section of the roof (the part that tips up) the glass exploded outward. Glass came raining down as I sat in the car coming out of the wash. Joyous!!

Anyway, to make a long story short, my dear friends at the dealership would not accept responsibility BUT they gave me new glass "as a courtesy". HA! What a joke! They claim that something must have struck the glass. Of course they claim that.

I have decided that I will not wash the car unless it is at least 40 degs outside.

I had it happen to me twice now (the sunroof not working). Whenever I tried the switch I could here a clicking sound a few seconds after pressing the button. I guess the car "disengaged" the command for opening. I brought it to the dealer and they fixed it. Unfortunately a few weeks later exactly the same thing happened again. This time I didn't bother going to the dealer (it was/is lousy cold here). Well, again several weeks later it started to work again! I waited until my A Service and mentioned it but they only replaced some bellows for the sunroff because of noise. BTW - the first time I had the sunroof problem my sunroof blinds were still functioning but stopped some time later then.....

Thanks susemu. Yeah, I get the same click-or-two then...nothing. What did the dealer do to fix it? Did you have to wait on a part or were they able to do it then and there?

Sorry for the late reply...
Nope, my dealer could fix it on the spot. BTW, my sunroof just stopped working again (the 3rd time now). I don't know yet if I go back to the dealer tomorrow. Oh, and the noise from my sunroff also came back several days after the dealer fixed it, but I've found the cause and a quickfix: When I close my sunroof if seems to put too much pressure on the roof part or so. If I just tip the switch for tilting up the roof a little, all the squeaks and groans of the sunroof are gone (although the tilting part of the sunroof is then approx. 2mm higher then the fixed part of the sunroof). Hope this makes any sense to you.

Thanks susemu - I'll stop by the dealership and hopefully they can do a quick (and permanent!) fix. Sorry about the noise problems - I don't have that issue and I hope that the dealer doesn't 'introduce' it while fixing the other problem! :?

Oh, almost forgot - since my first post, the glass started to open and close again, but still not one-touch...you had to keep pressing, letting go, pressing, letting go, until it was completely open or closed. :)
Then the roller blind part stopped working! :(
I drove around for a few days, enjoying the North Carolina clouds through the glass. A few days later, I decided to try riskig playing with the rocker switch again. Lo and behold, the blinds closed. I'm not touching it again until I take it into the dealer - at which point, it will probably work perfectly!

Hmm, I brought my car today to the dealer because of the roof (3rd time it failed). They called me in the afternoon and said they would have to keep my car until Friday. They gave me a loaner (Mitsubishi Galant - blaehhhh) and they will replace the sunroof motor, switch and rails. Hope I will have then no sunroof problems anymore....

I too have had problems with the panoramic roof not opening. Took it to the dealer and they showed me how to reset. With roof closed, close the shade. Release switch, then press forward on switch (like you are going to close the window) hold for at least 5 seconds and like magic the roof control is reset and rood opens as it should. Instructions can be found in the manual.

Pan Roof

I too have had problems with my pano roof - window portion not opening. The shade would open with no problem, but I had to press the switch multiple times to get the shade to close. I did the re-synch and nothing happened. I took it the dealer (EuroMotors in Bethesda, MD) and it had to stay for a day. When I got it back, it worked but was told to bring it back for a SOP "Special Ordered Part". I have an appointment this Thursday (8/21) to bring it in. Also, I am having them program it to close with the same "one-touch" as it does opening.

My panoramic sunroof gets pauses every 2 inches when opening and closing. I've had it serviced at the dealership at least 6 times for the past year. They have changed the motor, lubed and sychronized the sunroof but nothing seems to work. It does not matter whether it's a sunny or rainy day. it just does it every now and then. Any advice?

I've had my sun roof die on me on 2 occasions, and once was when the rain was about to come down .. and in Houston it can rain hard! The only way I could open/close it was by using the tilt switch 9not the forward / reverse). I will keep the reset option in mind for future reference if it dies again!
