I want to change the fluid in the rear differential of my 2002 E320 4Matic. After draining do I fill until the fluid comes out of the filler hole or do I attempt to put in the listed capacity?

I would just do it until it comes out the fill hole. That is the proper way of doing it. Placing in the specified amount, should be alright, but from my experience, is always alittle less than to the fill hole. Though it would probably be alright, you may have to second guess yourself on whether those specs were accurate or not.

I did as you suggested, Thanks again. You have helped me twice. I would like a shop manual for this 2002 E320 4matic wagon and so far have not found anything. I lost money on ManualsUlimited DVD's which are impossible to get to work. Are there any manuals out there?

I know MB has a literature department that sells shop manuals for pretty much any MB. If you live in the U.S., you can try calling 1-800-FOR-MERC, and see where they get you.
