Hi, we try to delete spam postings at least daily but it is a uphill battle. Under our forum software we don't have a way to filter out the spammers from honest car folks at the moment. We have turned on a feature that requires users to enter a code defined by an image when registering. This may help but it will likely not to prevent this scum of the earth from joining and posting this junk.

That's exactly what I was talking about. I'm surprised they're actually taking the time to go through that. I couldn't remember if I had to do that when I registered to this forum. I know I have on alot of other forums. Many of the forums that many of the people I know have that feature during registration, and don't have a spam problem. So if you have that feature turned on, I'm suprised all this spam is continuing.

We just turned this feature on but unfortunately many will still take the time to register and post their attempts to push drugs, porn, and other junk. We also have many folks register with links in their profile to other such sites but never post a message I guess it helps them with search engines to have the links found in other websites, but I also delete them when found. I average deleting a dozen or so every day.

XRumer214 we delete dozens of inappropriate members and threads every week. They sign up simply to promote their own agenda or product. The forum rules are posted and very clear. They choose not to follow the rules so we delete the posts and remove them from membership in the forum. This is a forum devoted to the enjoyment of Mercedes-Benz automobiles and as a place to share this interest with other Benz owners. We will not allow the forum to be used to promote porn or for other inappropriate purposes. If there ever is a case that might be borderline then we can and have contacted them requesting that they abide by the rules. By the way, we have added a couple of filters to registration that has cut down some on the problem, but we still see a lot of inappropriate postings each day.
