I was wondering what kind of car MB dealer usually gives you when your Benz is in the shop for a few days? I hope not something like Toyota Corolla or Kia...

When I had a BMW 525i, the dealer gave me a Lexus to drive for a few days, that was kind of nice of them

MB policy dictates a loaner. It is up to the individual dealership as to what they give out.

My (soon to be) dealer explained to me that they use Benz cars only as loaners. All with less than 5K miles on them. After that they go through the starmark process. If your car is going in for service, they will try to accommodate your request for a particualr type of car (the M class is popular in winter). I was also told that they will try to give you a loaner better than the car you currently drive in order to introduce you to something better.

I had one with 2600 miles and the other with 2300miles...nice to have different BENZ everytime....and you can request different model ifyou want to. That is how I got the sedan(c240)....from the Ray catena in Edison, NJ.

I have always received a MB -- including an E Class twice: C Class sedan twice; and a C Class Wagon. With two exceptions, they have been current model year cars

Ray Catena is where my coupe is being purchased. Good to hear someone verify what I was told. :)

Good to hear you are a neighbor....
You will love their service...and free bagel and coffee. I like them(I mean Ray Catena, not coffee and bagel :D ) a lot.
But, try to avoid going Princeton MB dealer. They are not treat you MB customer, they will treat you the cheapest model buyer :x

A co-worker of mine who lives in the Princeton area told me about Ray Catena. Extolled the excellent service. He also derided the treatment given to him by the Princeton MB dealership and chose the extra travel time to go to Catena for his purchase and service.

Love the classic cars on the second floor. Especially the Gullwing. :D

Do the Catena service techs know their stuff? Can they fix something the first time around?

I work less than 2 miles from Princeton dealer, but I don't go there anymore. I rather travel 10 miles from my place for the better service. Good to hear I am not the only one.:)

Yes, I think so. But, with only one exception which is wrong part number for a button on the streering. They got wrong color 3 times. They said it is MB's falut, not dealers.....anyway fixed.:)
