This may not be the right section for this, but I am in the market for new tools, and wondering the essentials to have when doing do-it-yourself projects. I am not doing anything major like engine work or transmision. For instance, reattaching door handles and seats, window window work, etc.

Is metric the way to go on these? Any tips and tricks?

Yes, metric is important for any work on your MBZ. And quality is key when buying tools. Sears is a good place to check for deals on quality tool sets.
