I have a sony 10 pack from my old car which I was planning to put in my 230. From what I'm understanding is that no changer will work with benz's deck, is that true or is it just with the steering wheel controls. If so what is the make of the one that will work I live in Canada so ordering is a pain so I want to buy it here. Also if the sony changer will work does anybody know if it will fit in the glove compartment. Thx.

Mecedes use the D2B fiber optic system to connect the cd-changer to the head unit. There are only two changers which can be used. The Alpine 6 disk changer with the Mercedes logo and the Becker Silverstone 2662. The Becker won't fit in the glovebox.

Do you know the model # of the Alpine 6 pack. I want to be able to order it without going through benz.
