I have been researching biodiesel as well as vegetable oil conversions, and one of the biggest drawbacks that I have run across( the only one actually) is that especially with the biodiesel is that it will degrade latex rubber fuel lines. I know for a fact that my fuel return lines are latex, but I have also been told that the line running from the tank to the injector is rubber also. I have an '86 300 SDL. Does anyone out there know where I can get synthetic fuel line that will work with a Mercedes? I have found replacement kits for VW's only. There is a product made by Dupont/Dow called Vyton, but I haven't had any luck finding it. I know that in the states of California and Oregon biodiesel is pretty popular, so there must be some folks out there who already have this solution mapped out. I have called my local MB dealer and he said he doesn't know of any.HELP!
