Hi all,

How much do you think a "almost new" 2002 C230 costs? I think i can get one (black) with black leather and CD changer for ard us$24,000. It has 6,000 miles in it. Is it worth it? The car just looks new!

Thanks

What's a fair price?

A friend of mine loved my new 2003 C230 so much she went looking for a used one. A dealer has a 2003, fully loaded and wants $31000 for it. It has less than 900 miles on it and was only driven for about a month by the original owner. I know the sticker on my 2003 which was pretty loaded (only the phone option was missing) was $33,600. Dealer says that the woman who bought it ended up not liking it and traded it in for the sedan. (Go figure)

Fair deal or overpriced? Kelley Blue Book has no info.

I have a good friend who has a dealer license. He found me an 02 with 10,000 miles for $20,800.00!! It was an off lease vehicle and is in immaculate condition. Almost fully loaded except leather and roof. There are more and more coming through the Atlanta Highline Auction every month. Haven't seen one sell for over $23,000.00 yet. He charges a small fee(around $500+auction fees) and you can't be too choosy about color, options etc. but that's CHEAP for such a sweet car!

Given that the car sells for 25K new, that's understandable. The roof and Leather are the two biggest options for this car- the base car comes very well equiped...on other cars this level of standard equipment would be a fully loaded car. That's one of the things that makes the C230 such a deal!

I'm curious how the car could be off lease with only 12 months and 10,000 miles on it. SOunds like someone defaulted on a loan or had to buy out the lease. You got a good deal at any rate.

Great deal for 2002. What about a 3 month old fully loaded 2003?

I've been trying to find some info for my friend but have come up with nada. Ball park figure, anyone?
In LA, I would say at least a grand under invoice.

I don't know the details of how the car ended up at the auction. Also, forgot to mention the car has memory seats, CD changer, premium sound, and C7 package. I thought with those options I was getting a great deal. I guess if I could have bought it new for $25,000.00 I didn't get such a great deal after all. Oh well.
