Hi!
I'm going to replace the fuel filter in near future and have read that it is necessary to release the fuel pressure.
Does anyone know where the valve (like on a tire) for releasing fuel line pressure is located (C200 1995)?
Is it strictly necessary to release the pressure when replacing fuel filter if using clamps on the fuel line?

I just did the fuel filter on my '97 and it is not necessary to bleed any fuel pressure. Just get two line clamps, put the on either side of the filter and unscrew the hoseclamps (make sure you get new ones with the filter).

Fuel Pressure

If you can determine where the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump wiring is located, you can disable the pump (turn it off) and run the engine for about 30 seconds to reduce the fuel pressure. This allows you to make less mess when changing the filter.
