Hello,

I'm a new -- and very happy -- 2004 C32 owner. I need to wire my Valentine and am looking for a convenient switched +12 source, preferably near the rear view mirror. There are lights and the sunroof wiring in that overhead console, and I'm hopeful of finding what I need there.

So -- does anyone know how to remove the overhead switch/light pod? I can get the light lens off but don't see how to go from there and don't want to pull hard on stuff w/o knowing what I'm doing.

I tested several fuse slots and all I found were hot-all-the-time locations.

Thanx for the help!

Hello, LeeF. Welcome to the forum. If the C32 is like the Sports Coupe, there is a fuse block on the left side of the trunk. Fuse number 7 is switched. That is the only one I know that is. Many people on other forums are using that slot to power their radar detectors. I have read that none of the wires in the overhead console are suitable for powering a radar dectector.
