Hi Lynn...I was wondering if you could give me a little bit of info on the Zaino that I should use, as opposed to waxing. I just waxed my car about a month and a half ago with Meguires Gold Class for Clear Coats, which I thought was a great product, but I'm looking for some serious shine here :) Can you help?

I don't know how good it will be in comparison to the waxes and other finishes you guys are talking about, however, as an option on my C230K I am having the BodyCare Plus Package (probably UK speak).

For the paint work this involves a treatment for the paint to fully smooth it out and then a hard high shine finish goes on the top. The finish is a permanent (guaranteed for three years I think) protective layer that causes dirt and moisture to run off (probably like a permanent wax finish). The idea is that as the finish stays on the car you just give it a clean now and again and the paint comes up like new - no polishing required.

Have heard from other people that this isn't a gimmick and that it gives really good results. Sound familiar to you guys?

The package also includes protective treatments for the leather and the interior/exterior plastics to keep them looking A1. For about £200 I thought this was worth having as I want my car (Silver colour) to stay looking nice, but don't want to put too much effort into that!!

I agree that for proper care you should probably use a leather treatment. I don't pick my car up for nearly three weeks, so I'm not entirely sure what my stuff will be like. I'm just getting it all from Merc, so it may be an idea to try your dealer for a decent product, unless of course anyone else knows of better products out in the market. I've done no research, just ordered the option from the dealer.

vaca22, I'm sorry I haven't gotten to this sooner, but I am away from home on business. Send me a PM to remind me to answer this when I get home on the 19th or so. A quick suggestion for the leather interior is use Meguiars leather wipes, or use Lexol products.
